Introduction

My name is Mark Shore and I hail from the greatest city on earth, Chicago. I'm a broadcast journalism major at the University of Southern California, and I look forward one day to going into the field of sports broadcasting. I have been broadcasting various sports play-by-play since the ripe age of 15, and at USC have broadcast football, basketball, volleyball, soccer and hockey. Currently I have an internship as a sports writer for JOCKlife.com, and starting in the fall I will be a beat writer for the NFC East. My previous internships include a production internship at SportingNews Radio, and promotion internships at a music and progressive talk station in Chicago.

When I graduate from USC I plan to pursue my dream of doing sports play-by-play for college football and college basketball, and plan to do everything possible to make that dream come true. Hopefully one day the name Mark Shore will become a household name and I will be able to be on all platforms of sports journalism, including sports talk and sports writing.

A fun fact about myself is that in high school I created the North Suburban High School Ping Pong Classic and had over 100 of the best ping pong players in the area come and compete at my high school.

The websites I will be following this semester are www.nytimes.com, www.cnn.com and www.laobserved.com.
